New Living Translation:

“But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high.”(Psalms‬ ‭3:3‬)

Easy-To-Read Version:

“But you, Lord, protect me. You bring me honor; you give me hope.”

Common English Bible:

“But you, LORD, are my shield! You are my glory! You are the one who restores me.”

Good News Translation:

“But you, O Lord, are always my shield from danger; you give me victory and restore my courage.”

Beloved, a shield is a weapon of war to protect and cover one from various attacks and dangers. If the Almighty God is your shield, you are secured and covered from any form of evil and trouble. Safety, joy, true honor and deliverance are yours. The Lord lifted David’s head up and restored his kingdom to him, He lifted Jesus from the dead, He lifted His people out of dung hill to sit with princes, He will lift your head with cheerfulness, comfort and confidence because He is still God.

Even in the worst of times, God will lift up your head with joy, because all things will definitely work for good unto you as His child. For God to lift up your head therefore, or raise you up, is to relieve your distresses, take away your troubles, give you victory, hope, courage and restores you.
