“Let your mercy rest on us, O Lord, since we wait with hope for you.”

Christian Standard Bible:

“May your faithful love rest on us, Lord, for we put our hope in you.”

Beloved, one of the reasons why the people of God are no more blessed as they are supposed to be,or why they receive no more favors from Him may be that they feel some things are too big to ask Him. Because, If you expect little, you obtain little; if you have no intense, burning, lofty desire for the favor of God, either for yourself personally, or for your family, so you obtain but slight tokens of that favor. Do not limit God, ask for extraordinary things, He can do all things, nothing is too hard or big for Him to do.If you desire much, you will obtain much, if you have big expectations, you will not be disappointed, for God is willing to bestow His mercies upon you and your family to the utmost of your desires and hopes in Him. Then, you will always have the comfort and benefit of His mercy, not according to your merits, but according to His promises in His words through His Spirit and grace in you.
