“The Lord will not abandon his people, because that would dishonor his great name. For it has pleased the Lord to make you his very own people.”(1 Samuel‬ ‭12:22‬)

New English Translation:

“The Lord will not abandon his people because he wants to uphold his great reputation. The Lord was pleased to make you his own people.”

Contemporary English Version:

“But the Lord has chosen you to be his own people. He will always take care of you so that everyone will know how great he is.”

Common English Bible:

“For the sake of his reputation, the LORD won’t abandon his people, because the LORD has decided to make you his very own people.”

Beloved, God doesn’t need anyone to be who He is. And simply because of who He is,He’s not going to walk off and leave His children. He delights in making you His very own. And for His honor, glory and name’s sake, He will never leave, forsake nor abandon you. God will never allow His name to be ridiculed or blasphemed among the unbelievers, for whatever reason. God chose you, not because of what you have done or not done, not because of your input but because of His mercy, grace, favor and pleasure. He will always take good care of you, so,let your delight be in serving,loving and obedient to Him, do not thrust Him away.
