“And athletes cannot win the prize unless they follow the rules.”
The Passion Translation:
“An athlete who doesn’t play by the rules will never receive the trophy, so remain faithful to God!”
God’s Word:
“Whoever enters an athletic competition wins the prize only when playing by the rules.”
Beloved, if an athlete do not compete according to the rules, no matter how good he is, even if he gets to the finished line first, he can never be crowned with the wreath of victory, so also we must run our race according to God’s rules. The end justifies the means doesn’t work with God.
