New Living Translation:
“The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.”
(Psalms 19:1)
The Message:
“God’s glory is on tour in the skies, God-craft on exhibit across the horizon.
Amplified Bible:
“The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And the expanse [of heaven] is declaring the work of His hands.”
New English Translation:
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the sky displays his handiwork.”
Beloved, the heavens announce, proclaim, make known God’s glory. The word heavens here refers to the material heavens as they appear to the eye - the region of the sun, moon, and stars. The idea is, that these brings to mind a true impression of the greatness and majesty of God. The testimony given by the heavens is no mere hint, but a plain, unmistakeable declaration; and it is a declaration of the most constant and abiding kind. Our God is the most intelligent, planning, controlling, and presiding Creator of the heavens and earth. Bigger and greater than whatever you may be going through. If the heavenly bodies can declare His glory, what stops you that is made in His image to declare His glory, greatness and majesty in all you do to your generations? Keep on declaring His glory and goodness by day and night.
